Summary
The Copywriter will support driving the brand’s content and storytelling strategy for all audiences/segments and channels, concepting and executing creative communications and ensuring integrity of the brand’s voice, tone and articulation. This individual will also be responsible for creating high-impact internal and external communications. In addition, the Copywriter will partner with areas across the business to develop targeted, meaningful and effective communications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Write copy covering a diverse portfolio of content, sometimes under tight deadlines and rapidly changing parameters.
• Support the organization with written and verbal communications to media, associates, government and elected officials and community groups.
• Draft and edit effective communications, including press releases, information graphics, advertising, op-eds and copy for website and social media.
• Contribute creative ideas for new types of content and communication opportunities based on a thorough understanding of the company.
• Ensure consistency of voice and brand with all communications.
• Refine and ensure voice and tone guidelines are followed and provide guidance and support to business partners to empower them to speak as the brand.
• Balance context and audiences to assure our communications sound just right.
• Other job related duties and special projects as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

• No direct supervisory responsibilities.

Additional

• Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively from a home office setting
• Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed.
• Must be able to travel occasionally and work at an outside location.

WHO YOU ARE:
Education, Training and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications or a related field.
• 10-15 years of professional writing experience for large B2B brands.
• Proficiency in some or all the following programs: Adobe InDesign, InCopy, Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet applications.
• All applicants must submit a writing sample in addition to their resume.

• Strong listening, verbal and writing skills.
• Excellent proofreading, copy editing and creative abilities.
• Ability to quickly synthesize complex information for succinct communication to relevant internal and external audiences.
• Excels in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proven ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment, while working independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of managing multiple competing projects and seeing them through to completion on time and with high levels of quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for a manufacturing organization.
