Position description

This position performs duties as assigned, and with minimum supervision of the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor, in the areas of plant operations, and maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, building automation systems and computerized maintenance management systems, steam/boiler systems, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, water loop systems, elevator systems, medical gas systems, communications systems, sewer systems, refrigeration and electrical systems and related equipment. This position will also perform duties as assigned in general grounds maintenance, light construction, general carpentry and painting. Employee is expected to coordinate with supervisor to complete yearly department specific checklist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required

• Associates Degree in industrial technology related fields or equivalent work experience required

• Driver’s license

• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings.

• Safe power hand tool operation knowledge

Additional qualifications

• 5 years facilities maintenance experience, healthcare facility preferred

License or certification

Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

Compensation Detail

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $21.80 per hour.
