Required Skills:

Enterprise Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Build, scale, and secure Meta’s corporate infrastructure, focusing specifically on the Linux environment

2. Combine open-source and commercial technologies to build services that will have an impact on the business

3. Work in a heterogeneous environment containing diverse operating systems and applications, and make them work well together

4. Find ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger facebook.com infrastructure to solve problems for Enterprise customers

5. Be the final escalation point for issues related to Enterprise Linux systems

6. Produce systems that are scalable, automated, and well-documented, and train others to take on operations

7. Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted (remote work benefit)

8. $182,483.46/year to $219,000.00/year + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires 24 months of experience in the following:

3. Scripting and programming in any one of the following languages such as Python, PHP, C/C++, or Java

5. System architecture, performance tuning concepts, and web applications

6. Utilizing relational database technologies
