Hotel Hive opened its doors January 19th, 2017. “The Hive” is DC’s first Micro Hotel. *Hive has a youthful vibe, where modern innovation meets historic character. Our rooms range from 125-250 square feet and are space efficient, cleverly designed, and filled with unexpected surprises. We are extremely interactive with our guests; always providing exceptional personalized service* is a top priority. Our main food and beverage partnership with &pizza allows guests to create specialty craft pizzas in our space. In addition, Hive Bar and our Rooftop Bar offer a unique collection of all locally-sourced spirits, beer and coffee. Hive provides guests with everything they need and nothing they don’t. We encourage our guests to buzz more and spend less out of our central location and return to a restful, unique and innovative hotel experience.
This is a property and brand with opportunity for a hard-working, friendly, charismatic person who wants to personalize the guest experience. The ideal candidate is someone who is hard-working, personable, professional, and communicates well. This person will play a critical role in the Front Office team.

What You Will Be Doing (Responsibilities and Duties)

• Provide exceptional personalized customer service and experiences to guests.
• Live like a local. Knowledge of the neighborhood and city.
• Think on your feet, use good judgement and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide support to guest services leaders and the entire hotel team.
• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Who You Are (Qualifications and Skills)

• Passion for hospitality and providing excellent guest service. This enthusiasm will be apparent from speaking with you.
• Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
• Open availability required. Must be prepared to work various shifts (for example: 7-3pm, 3-11pm, weekdays, weekends, holidays).
