GRADUATE FINANCIAL ANALYST

MPA Recruitment has been appointed by a successful and growing energy business to source an Associate Financial Analyst to join their team in Letterkenny. The business has a presence across Europe and Asia and specialises in the international trade of energy commodities with clients ranging from utilities and generators to trading houses and energy exchanges.
Your role will contribute to a range of activities within the Finance & Operations (FinOps) team. Our client’s product, geographic offering and focus continue to grow in Europe and Japan and this now requires further support in the business operations area.
KEY REPONSIBILITIES
· Daily verification of all new derivative trades to ensure all trade facts match across trade system, valuation ledger and external counterparties
· Perform daily reconciliation of all derivative and spot positions and their movements and ensure tie in with reported P&Ls to the business
· Ensure that all trade exceptions from either daily new trade check or reconciliations are investigated, resolved, and escalated where necessary
· Month end reconciliations across all clearing and DMA providers, ensuring signed off and match back to P&Ls
· Manage daily and weekly regulatory reporting under EMIR and REMIT obligations
· Quarterly reconciliations of portfolios under regulatory reporting requirements
· Daily review of client collateral positions and notifying Business Partner promptly of same
· Weekly client invoice runs and bulk payments management
· Monthly reporting prepared and reviewed and provided to clients within deadlines
· Support month-end financial control reporting via provision of reconciled trade data
· Feed into KPI reporting on derivative and spot trading processing
· Develop key internal and external relationships to ensure delivery of outstanding service
· Ownership of operational procedures for related processes and ensure maintained
You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or equivalent, have an organised flexible approach to prioritising tasks, deadline-oriented, self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
