Napier Music Academy Looking for Piano teacher at Napier Central, Hawkes Bay Full Time

Napier Music Academy is a music school in Hawke’s Bay specialising in music lessons, band mentoring, workshops and holiday programmes. Opening in February 2017, NMA has over 200 students and is continually growing. We teach lessons in local primary schools, as well as our own studio in Napier.

At NMA, we genuinely care for all of our students and push them to be their best. It is not a job but a passion, and we mentor and guide our students both inside and outside of work hours. 

We are a tight-knit team of local musicians and music teachers who work closely together and are willing to go the extra mile for our students, providing extra help for events and work hard to get our students on the stage.

We are seeking a fun, reliable and highly skilled music teacher who will be ready to hit the ground running for between 5 to 10 hours per week starting as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable.

The ability to teach another instrument will be beneficial, though not a requirement. It is vital that you enjoy working with kids and are able to prepare many of them for their grade exams, as well as making learning music FUN! We are seeking someone who can become a mentor to their students

The role includes:

• Primary work will be in our Napier studio after school hours;
• Participating and supporting the kids at events eg. end of term concerts, showcase nights;
• There may be the opportunity to work inside our schools during the daytime;
• Hours are negotiable for the right person
   

Must have a car and NZ driving licence.

 All teachers will be police vetted.
