Nexio Looking for Junior Software Development Engineer at Orem, UT Full Time

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development and implementation for our existing Web and API applications.
• Translate stories into design & code. Develop well-engineered code and test artifacts backed by automated tests.
• Research and adopt contemporary software development techniques to ensure quality and improve velocity of the team.
• Deploy code into development, test, and production environments on schedule, and provide follow-up production support. Submit change control requests and documentation as needed.
• Follow Agile software development methodology. Follow architecture standards and best practices.
• Participate in peer design reviews, code reviews, and test inspections throughout the software life cycle.
• Collaborate in building and maintaining an inclusive, highly cooperative, and outcome-oriented team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field and/or equivalent training and experience.
• Has experience with software engineering fundamentals including Agile methodologies, function, and object-oriented design, data structures, and writing testable code.
• Highly collaborative, a fast learner, and willing to work wherever you’re needed on the team.
• Able to effectively communicate technical issues in a manner all can understand.
• Able to work with Product Managers to prioritize work relative to both delivering business value and addressing technical debt.
• Preferred: 1+ years of programming experience or master’s degree (software engineering or related field)
