Northern Michigan Vein Specialists Hiring for Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant Job at Traverse City, MI Full Time

We are looking for a person who will enjoy working as an “A” team member 3 days a week. The responsibilities of this position will be mainly as a receptionist. Multi-tasking skills are a “Must” as this position will require at times to assist the medical assistant.

Days of the week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays

General Summary of Duties-Receptionists

Responsible for answering incoming telephone calls; documenting & routing physician and staff messages; rescheduling appointment cancellations and notifying appropriate staff of important cancellations; transferring/retrieving the phones from voice mail as required (AM, PM, lunch/staff meetings); retrieving voice mail messages upon resumption of normal office activities; and greets, instructs, directs and schedules patients/visitors in an efficient and timely manner.

General Summary of Duties-Medical Assistant

The medical assistant works in tandem with Dr. Brian Heeringa to provide patients with excellent medical care most respectfully and courteously. Our goal is to ensure that every patient feels like they are our most important patient that day. Make sure that all patients are made to feel welcome and comfortable. Always remain friendly and polite whether on the phone, in an exam room, or at your desk face-to-face discussing pre and post-procedure treatment protocols. Work as a team with Dr. Brian Heeringa and all other NMVS staff.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Masks are required for patients during his/her visits. Staff are required to wear mask when he/she has direct contact with our patients. This guideline is in accordance with the MIOSHA and OSHA COVID regulations.
