This Systems Engineering role will work in a mission operations liaison role for a space program and is located in Colorado Springs, CO for the NG Tactical Space Systems Division. The successful candidate will work closely with the mission operations team and the factory engineering team to ensure successful program execution. The candidate will support & coordinate with system integration efforts to validate system updates and enhancements are fully integrated and tested for the operational environment. The candidate will travel to and work closely with the spacecraft and ground factory teams during development, integration and test activities.
This role will also include: systems analyses and trades, engineering baseline management, interface management, requirements/V&V management, subcontractor technical oversight, and preparing/presenting SE material at major reviews and PMRs and interfacing with the customer and SETAs on mission and operational technical issues.
The candidate will work with a geographically distributed and cross-discipline team members and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse community of customers, end users, engineers, developers and managers to achieve the goals of the program team.
This position is primarily performed from a customer facility site, and also requires regular CONUS travel to various NG and other locations (up to 25%).
Basic Qualifications:
• Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret level clearance, SCI eligible.
• BS degree in Engineering, Science or related technical field and at least 14 years of applicable experience, an MS Degree with 12 years of applicable experience, or a PhD Degree with 9 years of applicable experience.
• Space systems engineering experience, including requirements analysis, interface development, testing and integration
Preferred Experience (one or more areas desired):
• Space mission operations experience
• Experience coordinating closely with customers and end-users
• Experience working with a cross-discipline team
• Spacecraft simulator and/or training experience

Salary Range: $146,300 USD – $219,500 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
