Job Description
This role provides critical support to the long term service stability for Oracle Cloud strategic customers. The role works closely with Incident Management and Engineering teams to address root cause of incidents and ensure service is restored as quickly as possible. The role will work with all the Oracle Cloud engineering teams and a strong technical background in cloud and infrastructure is a necessity.
In addition to assisting in incidents as they occur, the role will also focus heavily racking overall platform health and performance, and reporting back to leadership. A key part of this role will be to take post action corrective actions and use them to refine process improvements as well and having improvements added to the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate must have in depth knowledge of cloud platforms, technical verticals such as notworking and a tenacious desire to fix problems.
Responsibilities
Assist Incident Managers in helping to drive the incident bridges during service impacting events.
Work closely with other engineering and support teams to ensure post incident corrective action items are implemented.
Maintain and report on overall platform health, incident root causes, durations and corrective action items.
Maintain and report on incident performance and adherence to contractual obligations.
Track long term platform trends as
Participate in architectural discussions to ensure Oracle Cloud continues to meet and exceed customer expectation of availability and resilience.
Assist Change team in identifying risks to strategic customers when changes are conducted in Oracle Cloud.
Should be able to work with minimal supervision when liaising with engineering teams, customers and leadership.
Will be the Strategic Customer representative to Oracle Cloud and should have the ability to develop strong relationships with customers as a trusted partner.
Quickly evaluating multiple sources of information and synthesizing into a simple message of risk and impact
Advises project/program manager and coordinates with immediate and skip-level leadership.
Collaborates across teams across multiple orgs.
May serve as technical SME in multi-functional activities.
Has technical responsibility for complex project(s), including project requirements, specifications (where applicable), and documentation.
Act as SME for root cause analysis efforts.
May develop scripts to automate non-traditional, complex tasks for business unit.
Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Provides a broad set of guidance to technical and senior technical members of staff.
Collaborates with vendor engineering and account manager to address current business or operational issues.
May lead the adoption of new vendor hardware.
Active communication with product teams.
Participate in coordinated communication with product teams, networking leadership, and PMO to help assess gaps, solutions and needs.

Hiring Range: from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
