Job Summary
The Director, Benefits leads the overall governance and plan structure, design, implementation, communication, compliance and administration of Papa John’s health, wellness, disability and retirement Benefits. He/she will design, implement, communicate, and administer all Benefits programs and costs to ensure adherence to the company’s objectives and competitive position in the marketplace. He/she will ensure through audits, reports, and cost analysis that Benefits programs and practices are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations. The Director of Benefits manages the Benefits team, part of the overall Total Rewards function. He/she will also provide strategic direction for all Benefits aspects to PJI’s HRIS. This role is responsible for all aspects of PJI’s Benefits strategy, plan structure, design and implementation in compliance and government regulation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop multi-year health, wellness, and retirement strategy for PJI including vendor management and employee engagement.
Responsible for the Benefits Committee, which consists of key Papa John’s leadership, ensuring topics, materials and needed approvals are relevant and completed in a timely manner.
Partner with Legal to ensure an effective governance structure.
Partner with vendors and Finance to ensure accurate and timely benefit costing and fringe rate analysis are complete. Monitor both department and plan expense closely each month and take mitigating measures when needed.
Develop and drive an effective Benefits communication strategy to ensure strong employee understanding of Benefits plan offerings, policies, and key dates.
Design and ensure delivery of an optimal employee experience for Benefits related processes and events such as onboarding and open enrollment.
Ongoing review and analysis of Benefit programs to ensure the portfolio of offerings is appropriate for our employees and the company.
Assess current and future vendor relationships, manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal systems, execution, budget, and compliance.
