This role is to carry out the teaching, learning and assessment of work-based learners completing apprenticeship standards and possible qualifications to enable them to achieve their end point assessment.
The Teaching Assistant Assessor is required to use their up-to-date professional knowledge and skills to support vocational and professional development to learners undertaking Teaching Assistant programmes in an employer setting, and at any level. As an assessor coaching is seen as a complex set of interpersonal skills, it is more learner-centred, exploring the learner’s understanding and needs rather than simply giving advice.
As an assessor you are required to carry out the following duties in the context of the PTS policies and practices, particularly Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and Data Protection, and those of any host organisations, including informing learners of their obligations.

Qualifications:
You are required to hold a current Level 3 CAVA or equivalent and/or a Level 3 Training and Education qualification or equivalent.
This role would be well suited for someone who is currently working as a nursery manager or in a senior position in an early years setting, and is looking to progress into the next step of their career.
What do you need to be successful?
You will be able to plan and set goals using competent organisational skills. You will have the ability to provide constructive feedback alongside reviewing assessment plans to help learners progress and develop through their programme. You will be able to record, monitor and evaluate ongoing knowledge, skills and behaviours while following PTS confidentiality policy.
