Raytheon Technologies Hiring for Logistics Specialist at Sterling, Virginia Full Time

Raytheon Technologies is looking for a Logistics Specialist to support a fast-paced rapidly changing high-tech mission in the Sterling, VA area. The Specialist will be embedded within a multi-disciplined team including logistics, procurement, and engineering personnel to perform quick-reaction support services. The specialist is expected to independently interact with variety of customers on a daily basis and be a team player, self-motivated and able to independently prioritize tasking in a very complex and dynamic environment. The Specialist is expected to create relationships with remote logistics teams to smoothly expedite shipment and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Tasking on this job will vary widely from day to day. The Logistics Specialist must be willing to learn all facets of Property Management, Warehouse Operations and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Logistics personnel will be cross-trained in all areas of warehouse operation and will be expected to cover each other’s area of responsibility as well as support customer surge requirements. The Specialist must be familiar with local established business policies, procedures and public law to ensure compliance. The Specialist will have the opportunity to transport customer items within the Washington Metropolitan Area and on a nationwide basis.

The Specialist will also be responsible for shipping items to an OCONUS facility operated and maintained by Raytheon. The Specialist will be required to travel to the site for familiarity and understand how items are tracked, consumed, and stored at site. Our operations will require the specialist to work in inclement weather (Rain, Snow, Heat and Humidity) to complete our mission. Individuals will be required to lift 50 pound items unaided, and will be required to be obtain a DOT Medical Card, drive Forklifts and be certified for DOT/IATA Hazardous Materials and Electrostatic Discharge. Hours of operations are typically Monday-Friday, 6am-3pm, and can vary based upon customer mission requirements. Candidates must be willing to travel to Sterling, VA on a daily basis.

Requirement Skills/Background :

Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience

Demonstrable logistics related experience

A good driving record and ability to drive a 26 ft box truck

Demonstrated ability to work as a team player providing excellent customer service skills

Must have the ability to lift 50 pound items unaided

Experience transporting items within the Washington Metro area and across country

Must have the ability to work in inclement weather conditions (rain, snow, heat and humidity) to complete required mission

Candidates must have a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Desired Skills/Background:

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office computer applications

Forklift certification

ESD, DOT/IATA & HAZMAT Certified

CDL Class A Driver’s License

Education Required : Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum of five years of prior relevant experience.
