RecruitNet Consulting Group Ltd Looking for Senior Mechanical Engineer at Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand Full Time

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you’ll join a great NZ owned company as a Lead Mechanical Engineer. You will be working on process design and implementing engineering, process improvements and projects, predominantly for production, liquefaction, storage, reticulation and dispensing of gases and cryogens.

Your Day Will Involve

• Providing senior technical expertise in your field.
• Creating design and HAZOP reviews and working to strict deadlines and budgets.
• Working closely with clients, contractors and the project team.
• Work with sales staff to deliver pre-sales technical specification developments.
• Collaborating with project teams and leading technical discussions and reporting effectively.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor of Engineering or Science (Mechanical major).
• Proven Project Management skills.
• 7+ years experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in oil & gas, hydrogen, or hydrogen fuel stations.
• Design experience, producing drawings and calculations, around large industrial equipment.
• Leadership and highly effective communication skills.

This design, manufacturing business, pioneering green-hydrogen technology, is scaling up their operation in a new purpose-built facility and on the hunt for talent, as they have many exciting projects underway. There may also be an opportunity to work overseas, however the role is based in the beautiful South Island, in Canterbury.
