Robert Half Hiring for Accounts Payable Clerk at Devens, Massachusetts Full Time

Description Robert Half is in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the detail oriented Services field. Become an integral part of a company in the detail oriented Services industry as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Devens, Massachusetts area and will be a short-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent position. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Responsibilities

• Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

• Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

• Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

• Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

• Provide support to internal business partners

• Carry out a full-cycle A/P

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required Requirements – Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

• General familiarity with journal entries

• Strong familiarity with NetSuite

• Excel Formulas experience preferred

• Microsoft Excel experience

• Well-founded grasp of month end closings

• Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Practical knowledge of Journal Entry

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

• High attention to detail

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
