Robert Half Hiring for Accounts Payable Clerk at Midland Full Time

Description Robert Half is seeking a candidate for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is able to start asap. Located in Midland, Texas, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position. In this dynamic department, there is an opportunity for career growth and quick advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.

How you will make an impact

• Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

• Execute additional tasks as needed

• Complete full-cycle A/P

• Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

• Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

• Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

• Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

• Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily Requirements – Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Data entry experience

• Proficiency in month end closings

• Journal entries experience preferred

• Adeptness in Coding

• SAP experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• 1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases
