Job Description

THE ROLE

As a Warehouse Shipper, you will pick, assemble, and process outgoing deliveries safely, accurately, efficiently, and on time.

You will perform a wide variety of tasks related to material handling, including but not limited to processing of work orders, troubleshooting and fact finding, managing inventory, interacting with key internal customers, and processing and documenting appropriate paperwork and schedules pertaining to shipments and deliveries.

Qualifications

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

• Determining the method of shipment and preparing all required bills, invoices and other shipping documents; ensuring all product moves are updated in our internal inventory software.

• Assembling containers and crates, packing goods to be shipped, and identifying information and shipping instructions.

• Overseeing the loading of goods from the warehouse or storage facilities onto trucks or transferring to couriers.

• Ensuring goods requested for shipment match what is received at destination and handling discrepancies.

• Managing and negotiating relationships with shipping vendors and related partners.

• Ensuring safe transportation of goods by knowing safe storage, handling, and shipping procedures of dangerous goods (eg. batteries).

• Coordinating Vendor returns (RMA) as required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Working knowledge of Q360 would be an asset.

• You are a hands-on team player who actively finds new and improved ways of completing tasks. You are willing to try new things and assume additional responsibilities.

• You communicate effectively across various teams.

• You follow safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards. You will detect and report any improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions.

• You have the physical ability to lift moderate to heavy weighted materials, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques, and can stand for long periods of time.

• Having a valid certificate or previous experience using a Raymond Reach truck or electric walkie would be a valuable bonus.
