Youth Worker, Outdoor Education
£26,642 – £29,433 Dependant On Experience
Youth and Community Services are delivered by the Youth Support Team (YST) to support vulnerable young people and those with complex needs to make effective transitions into adulthood. We work in partnership with colleagues and other agencies to ensure a cohesive response, which is inclusive, accessible and inspiring.
The post of Outdoor Youth Worker is to act as a thematic lead within the Activities Team and deliver youth work opportunities using outdoor and adventurous opportunities to young people. The post holder will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a programme of youth work opportunities for young people.
Essential:
You will have:
NVQ/VRQ Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work qualification or approved equivalents such as Teaching, Social Work
Outdoor & Sports technical skill based training and governing body qualifications in at least 2 outdoor sports (eg MCI, ML/ HML, RCI, CWI Paddlesports Leader, LCMLA, L2 /3 MIAS, BC L2/3 MTB Leader, Archery Leader)
Experience in delivering outdoor education safely to a variety of user groups
