Silk Screen Printer Trainee

SUMMARY:
As the Silk Screen Printer Trainee, you will be trained in printing, laminating, quality control, and set up/tear down operations. To ensure success as a Silk Screen Printer Trainee, you must be able to stand for long hours, be comfortable with manual labour, have excellent hand-eye coordination, and be able to work with inks and chemicals. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment. The end goal is for the trainee to be moved into a Silk Screen Printer/Operator role.
DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality control for prints coming off the print line
- Touching up prints as needed
- Assisting in all setup/tear-down operations
- Properly stacking prints (slip sheets) as they come off the press
- Re-filling chemical containers
- Cleaning of work area (keeping area dust free)
- Washing and taping screens
- Proper cleaning and storage of house material
- Laminating
- Other duties, as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- High school diploma
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to work with ink and chemicals every day
- Ability to manually operate large machinery
- Attention to detail
