SMX is looking for a Senior ESS Administrator for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program Office (JPO) Special Access Program (SAP) networks.
The Senior ESS Administrator is responsible for administering, developing, running tests on, implementing, and maintaining the ePolicy Orchestrator. In this role you will establish and implement standards for Host Based System Security between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters; troubleshoots and resolve software, operating system, and networking problems; create and maintain the ePolicy Orchestrator management engine; recommend hardware and software upgrades according to HBSS/ESS security standards; schedule, plan, and perform HBSS/ESS upgrades, including coordinating the transition from test to production environments; interfaces with system administrators to ensure security postures do not interfere with workstations, printers, servers, and tape devices.
Additional duties include:
Configure / Maintain ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee Security ePO)
Maintain Multiple Network HBSS/ESS baselines
Perform ePO builds and upgrades
Conduct regular system patching and STIG hardening
Review / Approve HIPS policies
Troubleshoot Day to Day operational concerns
Maintain VSE DAT Compliance
Manage VSE on-access exclusions
Maintain ESS/HBSS Benchmarks
Required Skills and Experience:
Clearance Required: Secret
Secret clearance required at time of hire. A Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the past five years is required. Individual must be eligible under the SAP Nomination Process for access to SAP/SAR
BS or BA degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering
ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: The equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
5 to 7 years’ experience with HBSS/ESS disciplines and protocols to include comprehensive knowledge of specific tasks
Understanding of SQL administration
Proven Knowledge of HBSS Master Repository, Compliance Dashboards, and Queries and Reports
Proficiency with the following:
HBSS/ESS
McAfee Security Agent (MA)
Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS)
Policy Auditor (PA)
Rogue System Detection (RSD)
Virus Scan Enterprise (VSE)
Data Lost Protection (DLP)
Great time management and advanced task management skills
Teamwork Mentality / Willing to assist with additional tasks
Able to maintain professional composure in high-stress situations
Desired Qualifications:
Two (2) years’ experience with ACAS disciplines and protocols to include comprehensive knowledge of specific C&A tasks.
Demonstrated experience with proactively performing monthly and targeted (asset or IAVM) security scans on all networks using the latest approved Government security scanner to determine vulnerabilities on assets
Demonstrated experience with building, upgrading and maintaining ACAS v4.x & 5.x environments on NIPR/SIPR & standalone networks.
Demonstrated knowledge of Tenable products; SecurityCenter, Nessus, PVS, Nessus Manager, Nessus Agents
IAT Level III baseline certification in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 “Cyberspace Workforce Management” (or achieve within six months of TOA or hiring)
