Mō tēnei tūranga mahi – About the role:

As a Senior Strategy Partner, you will be a developing or senior leader whose all-round strategy or commercial knowledge and insight is acknowledged within your current work environment. You’ll work on a variety of business-critical projects and be required to lead out multiple projects and initiatives concurrently, managing a range of internal and external stakeholders across corporate strategy, M&A initiatives, future thinking and scenario planning to drive growth and innovation.

Ngā mahi o ia rā – Daily tasks:

• Delivering strategic analysis, plans, scenarios and recommendations that shape and advance Spark’s Group’s portfolio choices, priorities and position in market.
• Developing solutions that balance risk/reward and drive commercial value organically, through partnerships or via investments, with a demonstrated experience leading commercial / M&A initiatives.
• Leading thinking on developing global and local markets or accelerating technology trends to assess opportunities and risks for Sparks performance.
• Corralling diverse stakeholders to a common viewpoint, tailoring communication and facilitation approaches to challenge thinking and influence choices made in the Group’s best interest.

Tō wheako – Your experience

• High achiever with a focus on consistent delivery of excellent results and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience in both strategy and M&A with at least 8 years tenure in either in management consulting, corporate finance or in-house strategy.
• Telecommunication industry knowledge.
• Proactive, inquisitive and curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and a highly numerate and analytical problem solver, with a track record in data analysis, strategy analysis or financial modelling.
• Strong experience in shaping and delivering verbal and written communications, including developing a strategy storyboard and presenting complex concepts in simple terms and plain language.
• Confidence and the ability to work collaboratively across a range of stakeholders.
• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
