We are seeking to recruit a full time Learning Tutor to work across the University, to develop, deliver and evaluate initiatives to increase engagement, retention and success amongst student for whom English is not their first language.
Applicants should have a first degree plus a Diploma in English Language Teaching for Adults (DELTA) or a Master’s degree in a related area (Applied Linguistics/TESOL/TEAP or similar) together with experience of delivering academic English support to develop the potential of students for whom English is not their first language in HE.
You will have first-rate communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work well as part of a small busy team, as well as being able to take initiative, organise your work, prioritise tasks and manage your own time to deliver teaching activities as well as contributing to the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of the service.
