We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Finance Officer to join our team in Christchurch. If you have a strong background in accounts receivable and payable, along with a keen eye for accuracy and a passion for numbers, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable: Managing the main function of accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation
• Accounts Payable: Handling accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices
• Bank Reconciliation: Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies

About You

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse financial data and create reports
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles, including balance sheets and profit and loss accounts
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
• Ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of tasks, while also collaborating effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility for occasional travel between Stellar’s offices in New Zealand

Although not essential, familiarity with the following programs used at Stellar for accounts management is advantageous:

• Astute: Payroll and billing system
• Sage: Finance system
• SAP Concur: AP invoice management
