Who Should Apply?
STEM Montessori Academy of Canada is seeking Virtual, enthusiastic, engaging University students, Club facilitators, Instructors, or Teachers with
expertise in the subject areas for online programming.

STEM Canada is seeking an immediat supply to fill in for our weekend facilitator.

Shifts: Saturdays from 11:30 am to 2pm Eastern.

Planned Start Date: October 29, 2022

We are current looking for a high energy individual who’s passionate about stem who brings charisma and excitement when speaking to children. Our ideal candidate will be able to conduct high level sessions and include fun and games like hoots and fun interactive science and STEM related content.

We are looking for an immediate fill in to help facilitate our classes on Saturday October 29, 2022, due to illness.

You can look at this like a supply teacher role with possibility of extension if you are great!

Preference will be given to the candidate that can radiate energy through their application. Interviews will be conducted between 8 AM and 10:30 AM and the lucky candidate will be hired on the spot.

A powerpoint and other resources will be available for the class you just need to bring high energy to roll it out.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
– In a mentor capacity, roll out, navigate and assist in the facilitation of STEM-based workshops.
– assist our students to understand the fundamentals of STEM Education.
– Leader our leadership training workshops to students ages 10 – 17.

DUTIES:
· Be creative, HIGH ENERGY and innovative in the time spent with the students.
executing activities online related to Pathology.
· Must be comfortable creating meaningful content as needed.
· Be self-motivating and enthusiastic in carrying out the duties, fostering self-
esteem, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
· Ensure the atmosphere is inclusive, welcoming, and safe for all children.
· Provide positive role-modelling for child participants and volunteers to the
program, be always polite and helpful, smiling and greeting both parents and
children.
· Be accepting of all children without regard to race, creed, religion, socioeconomic
status.

Requirements:
-MUST be high energy, love kids, be dependable and organized
-Ability to be at least 5 consecutive days a week
-Exhibit personal suitability and flexibility
-Have exceptional interpersonal skills
– Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Previous online teaching experience would be an asset.
