Job Overview:

The Head of Production and Planning is responsible for overseeing the entire production and planning processes within the organization. This role ensures that production targets are efficiently met, effectively, and in alignment with company objectives. The Head of Production and Planning will lead the production design team, manage resources, and coordinate planning meetings to optimize operations, enhance productivity, and maintain high standards of quality. The role sits across both jewellery, fashion and accessories and reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Strategic Planning and Execution:

2. Production Management:

– Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure timely and cost-effective manufacturing.

– Monitor production processes, resolve issues, and make adjustments to improve efficiencies.

– Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high product quality standards.

3. Demand Planning:

– Product sell through analysis for both seasonal and core collections.

– Monthly demand and forecast reporting.

– Stock management and product allocation planning.

4. Resource Management:

– Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely availability of materials in line with profitability targets.

– Oversee inventory management and stock control procedures.

5. Team Leadership:

– Lead, motivate and develop the design planning team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance working culture.

– Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and training to team members.

6. Process Improvement:

– Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

– Utilize data and analytics to monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.

– Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to innovate and adapt production processes.

7. Budget and Cost Management:

– Develop and manage the production and planning budget, ensuring cost control and profitability.

– Analyse cost reports and implement strategies to reduce production costs without compromising quality.

8. Reporting and Communication:

– Provide regular reports on production performance, planning outcomes and key analysis to senior management.

– Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure coordination and any production related issues.
