Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand’s largest school. We provide personalised and authentic learning programmes through distance education from early childhood level to year 13, including to young adult and adult learners. The Central North Region Learning Support Team, is responsible for resourcing to support the educational aspirations of students (ākonga) with diverse learning needs. Our focus is on connecting and collaborating to build effective partnerships and approaches that achieve better outcomes for our ākonga.

The Team Administrator provides efficient and high-quality administrative support to our team. This is a busy and varied role, you’ll be a key person in the team and involved in a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. This integral role calls for a proactive and experienced Administrator with well-developed emotional intelligence, who is very familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite, invoices, databases and general administration tasks.

• Experience in or knowledge of the Learning Support education sector (preferred)
• Highly developed and effective verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to learn quickly, use your initiative and adapt easily to changing environments and priorities
• Proven organisational time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work accurately with integrity, being mindful of confidentiality and discretion
• The ability to engage and build positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a positive, emphatic, professional and efficient manner
• Good technical understanding of IT processes and systems including experience in Microsoft Outlook and proficiency in Excel
• A good understanding of basic accounting principles
