Job Purpose:
Serves as a key representative for human resources, supporting aspects such as recruiting, employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, payroll, and employee records. Tasked with enhancing and monitoring policies, programs, and procedures to optimize the effectiveness of HR support for the organization.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide exemplary customer service to employees requiring assistance.
Ensure the recruitment process aligns with staffing requirements.
Facilitate placement, transfer, and promotion activity by maintaining headcounts, transfer logs, and other HR metrics documentation.
Utilize Microsoft, Workday, and Kronos systems for efficient workflow management.
Assist in coordinating new employee training and orientation.
Collaborate with staffing agencies to fulfill workforce needs, acting as a liaison between temporary staff, staffing company, and Toro.
Monitor agency employees for conversion requirements and eligibility, facilitating tasks needed for the conversion process.
Monitor and document the call-in line.
Administer wage and salary policies for employees according to company guidelines.
Handle onboarding and offboarding processes.
Conduct a weekly review of employee and agency attendance and create disciplinary actions.
Maintain the performance process to ensure timely and constructive employee feedback.
Conduct research into Human Resources programs, policies, and activities, recommending changes or innovations where appropriate.
Ensure active plant involvement in community activities, acting as a liaison with outside community agencies.
Maintain confidential employee files.
Undertake special projects as needed.
Assist the location with event planning and employee recognition initiatives.
All other projects and tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma required with applicable experience will be considered.
2 years of related HR experience preferred.
Initiative: work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
Must be able to exercise and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail oriented with the ability to support multiple, concurring tasks / assignments.
Consistently exhibits collaborative qualities, able to solicit advice from colleagues and partners while still being able to take lead, show initiative and make decisions.
Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft, Workday, and Kronos systems for workflow management.
Manufacturing experience, preferred.
