The Faculty of Science and Engineering invites applications for the role of Head of Faculty Teaching, Learning and Student Experience. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader, working in partnership with key professional services and academic colleagues.
The Head of Faculty Teaching, Learning and Student Experience is responsible to the Director of Faculty Operations for leading, managing and directing the overall provision of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience professional services processes and operations within the Faculty. This includes the provision of strategic advice to the Vice-Dean for Teaching, Learning and Students, ensuring that the Faculty’s academic programmes at undergraduate and taught postgraduate level are delivered appropriately and that the student experience is positive, and for leading and managing the student admissions activity across the Faculty and overseeing the delivery of Faculty student number targets.
The post forms an integral part of the Faculty’s Teaching College leadership team, working in close partnership with academic and professional service leaders across the Faculty and its Schools. The Head of Faculty Teaching, Learning and Student Experience also works closely with colleagues across the wider University including the Directorate for the Student Experience and other Faculties to ensure consistency of policy, processes, structure and procedures, and to disseminate and embed best practice.
You must have experience of working at a senior level of management to drive strategy, innovation and performance in Teaching, Learning and Student Experience with a proven history of achieved results. It is also essential that you also have experience of leading people through change and developing a culture of continuous improvement, partnership and collaboration.
