Job Overview:
Production support through job set ups and verification, minor/major equipment repairs, support contractors needs with major equipment repairs, investigate and implement continuous improvements of material flow and processing. Schedule and plan major equipment repairs by ordering supplies required in a timely fashion and securing those parts in a proper fashion as they arrive to the plant for the job at hand. Perform daily predictive/preventative maintenance on all production/facility equipment through checks, measures and documentation. Effectively communicate verbal and written with all internal departments/customers/contractors/vendors/service providers.
Job Duties:
1. Perform & verify all set ups, changeovers, or adjustments and release equipment for production.
2. Work with area operators and Supervisors to investigate and implement continuous improvements of material flow and processing.
3. Provide permanent corrective action for downtime situations.
4. Provide support to various departments in automotive manufacturing facility.
5. Write/Program robot of varies brands and types.
6. Understand stamping press operation, mechanical and electrical.
7. Read and understand blueprints.
8. Read troubleshoot electrical schematics.
9. Work on and develop weld parameters on varies types of weld machines to meet customer/industry standards.
10. Have Microsoft Office/Computer skills.
11. Be able to effectively communicate with all internal and external staff as well as customers/contractors or service providers.
12. Have organizational skills.
13. Follow Lock Out /Tag Out, Confined Space, Fall Protection and all other safe work practices.
14. Able to perform cost analysis for repair vs replace for equipment.
15. Perform equipment Scheduled/Daily PM’s and all other IATF required documentation effectively and on time.
16. Receive quotes and fill out purchase requisitions with proper justification using downtime and cost analysis techniques.
17. Practice predictive maintenance techniques and records of as required.
18. Travel is required.
19. Maintain replacement parts level.
20. Ensure quality management system compliance.
21. Maintain 5S.
22. Understand (TPM) Kaizen
23. All other duties as assigned.
