Job Summary – This is an opportunity to support The Education Support Team at the University of Exeter, allowing you to develop invaluable skills and gain experience providing high quality support to students and academic staff. You will be the first port of call for student and staff enquiries, provide essential administrative support, maintain important records and you will have the chance to share your ideas and contribute to the development of the service. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) Scheme and offers full-time hours (36.5 hours per week) for 12 months. You will be based on Streatham Campus in Exeter with easy access to public transport including a free shuttle bus from St. David’s train station. About You – You should be a graduate who has excellent organisational and planning skills, the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure, high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, and fast and accurate database inputting skills. You should have an understanding of confidentiality practices and legal requirements under Data Protection, have excellent IT skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with precision and accuracy in person, in writing, email, and by telephone with a diverse range of people. You should have relevant administrative experience, have experience of delivering excellent customer service and effectively handling complex enquiries and difficult customer encounters, and experience of working collaboratively and proactively in a team and with multiple team members to deliver to multiple objectives and high service standards. You should also have the ability to be flexible, the confidence and ability to work independently with appropriate supervision, the ability to flexible and adaptive to changes in task allocation and areas of responsibility, and a willingness to learn and actively seek training and development.
