We are seeking to appoint a Teaching and Research Assistant to support the teaching and contribute to the development of the curriculum within the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health at the Nuffield Department of Medicine.
You will support the development and delivery of the IHTM teaching modules, and contribute to the teaching on the course. You will be responsible for developing and supporting group activities in class and virtually, as well as supporting teachers in setting up and developing assignments and activities related to teaching. You will conduct research using course statistics and support all other aspects of the course as needed.
It is essential that you hold a Masters in International Health and Tropical Medicine or equivalent and you will have working experience in resource-limited contexts. It is essential you have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse students and high profiles lecturers. You will be comfortable using University’s virtual learning environment for assignments and quizzes and have confidence using AV equipment and virtual communication modalities. You will have a willingness to learn new technologies and be available to attend sessions in Michaelmas and Hilary Terms.
