As a Mill Sales Manager for Valmet, you play a key role in building and maintaining solid working relationships with our customers, understanding their needs and identify how Valmet can partner with them to ensure the right solutions at the right time. This requires a firm grasp of the sales process and a willingness to work cooperatively with our customers and with our internal experts to ensure the highest levels of service. In this challenging role you have the responsibility for coordination of equipment upgrades, rebuilds, repairs, and parts and services within your specified territory. You will have the opportunity to apply your experience in marketing and brand building to achieve key targeted business goals for all of Valmet’s product lines.

You will be responsible for promoting and selling entire Valmet offering within assigned regional territory.

Stay actively involved with assigned region to fully understand and analyze the market for product growth.

Regularly provide updates on sales, projections, bookings, proposal activities, costs and other related customer activities.

Expectations

You must have a Bachelor of Engineering, Science or Business Degree combined with 5 to 10 years related technical experience in various positions as machine engineer, process manager, paper mill operations or maintenance management or service supplier to the industry. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

This position will have responsibility in areas covering the Canadian East Coast and could be subject to change depending on the evolution of our business. The ideal candidate will be located in the Montreal area. Since you will work closely with your customers, travel up to 75% within your defined territory will be required to ensure their satisfaction with Valmet.
