VIZIO Hiring for Machine Learning Internship at Seattle, Washington Full Time

VIZIO is looking for an Intern for VIZIO’s Machine Learning team. The successful candidate will play an important role in developing the company’s ML infrastructure. In summary, this new addition to our team will: Implement and Test software related to our software/services.

• Implement ML-based software solutions by writing code consistent with our coding standards and guidelines.

• Propose and design features for VIZIO’s recommendation system

• Train and test ML models to ensure that they are performing as expected.

• Monitor bugs in the code and provides fixes in a timely manner.

• Put comments in code as appropriate and produce external documentation for more complex software components.

• You have a minimum of 1 year of development experience.

• You have experience with Python, PySpark, or Scala

• You have experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Databricks, and/or Snowflake.

• You have experience with databases such as MongoDBor NoSQL and SQL Server.

• You can build, troubleshoot, debug, and performance tune ML models.

• You have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an effective collaborator

• You have a good understanding of software algorithms and data structures.

• Want someone who knows how to code (Python or Scala)

• Familiarity with building recommendation systems

• Familiarity with feature engineering, collaborative filtering, and experimentation

• Experience with AWS is a plus but not required
