We’re a 5X winner of Best Places to Work and 2X winner of Utah’s Best of State staffing agency!CHEMIST JOB DESCRIPTION:Frequent (hourly) sample collection from tanks, pipes, belts, and other locations in a heavy industrial setting where personal protective equipment including metatarsal guard steel-toe boots, gloves, and hard hats, must be worn. Sample collection areas are often hot, humid, and/or exposed to the weather.Routine testing and analysis of in-process minerals containing magnesium and potassium. Other analytical tests include chloride, sulfates, and sodium.Sorts all samples by product and status i.e. in process or finished goods.Conducts a variety of tests to determine chemical composition, including K2O, Na, Cl, SO4, Mg, and NH4 content specific to given sample(s). Also assess color, solubility, particle size, friability, dust, and H2O relative to established quality standards.Works with plant operators to adjust chemical and speed rates for desired product makeupPerforms mathematical computations associated with sample assessments. Mixes chemicals to create proper reagents.Documents all results and makes computer entries as required. Performs calibrations and minor repairs to testing equipment.CHEMIST JOB REQUIREMENTS:An associate degree in Chemistry or related Science is desirable, but not required. Previous work as a laboratory technician is desired.Hands-on experience using analytical equipment and performing hand titrations will be considered in place of formal training.Previous work in a dynamic, fast-paced process support setting is desired.Also desired is three or more years of related experience, demonstrating the ability to function as a member of a team in multi-functional operation.CHEMIST WAGE: $22.00 – $25.00/hr DOE | Paid WeeklyCHEMIST SHIFTS:Monday to Friday | 8 Hour Shift between 7:00AM to 6:00PMNR830168721
