The Front Desk Receptionist will respond to and expedite all incoming and outgoing calls from a multi-line, phone system. Receptionist also greets customers and guests and ensures they are directed appropriately to the right Department/Staff. Receptionist will perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Answer ALL incoming calls while at front desk; including transferring calls, taking messages, and providing high quality customer service as required.
· Efficiently and accurately use of office equipment, including fax machine, copier, postage meter, and computer.
· Monitors National Weather Service (NWS) daily and notifies all staff in case on an emergency by dialing 0000.
· Greet all visitors in a friendly manner (smile, say hello) and professionally notifies the host(s) of their arrival.
· Provides support to the mailroom staff and other departments when there is excess Admin work.
· Be present & visible in the home office 5 days/week (M-F), 8 hours/day. Exceptions to this need prior approval from your direct Manager/Supervisor.
· When there is down time (no visitors in the lobby), make outbound calls to vendors, area restaurants, etc. to obtain information on employee discounts, opportunities for giveaways, etc. Other Duties as assigned by Management (i.e., filing, assist with Recruiting administrative tasks as needed, set up/clean-up for Employee Appreciation events, Reception coverage, etc.).
· Employees who will provide back up for reception breaks/lunches and days out are as follows:
1. HR Assistant
2. Administrative Assistant
3. HR Supervisor (EE Team)
4. Executive Assistant to CEO
*Note: No other staff/departments should be used for reception coverage.
Education Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required; College degree beneficial.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
· Fast-paced, high-volume professional environment with frequent interruptions.
· Proficient use of office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines and multi-line telephones.
· Ability to communicate effectively via spoken, written and electronic means.
· Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
