Aerotek Hiring for Maintenance Mechanic at Rockdale Full Time

Equipment Mechanic Needed for $35 hr – $45 hr in Cripple Creek, CO

Mining company seeking excited & motivated workers to be a part of their team. The team will be responsible for automating the heavy equipment onsite. Ideal candidate would be someone who’s looking to be a part of a long term opportunity, at least a year. Willing to train the right candidate with the right mechanical aptitude on Retrofit CAT 793 D & F haul trucks with sensors and controls. The purpose of the sensors and controls are required to make them autonomous (self-driving).

Job Duties:

• Prepares accurate and complete service reports and turns them in on time

• Prepares inspection and appraisal reports

• Correctly charges work to appropriate work order segments

• Communicates effectively with Service Writer, Shop Coordinators and Shop Managers to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up on

• Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment

• Prepares, inspects, and operates machines prior to delivery

• Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts

• Determines reusability of parts in accordance with published Caterpillar reusability guidelines

• Orders replacement parts ensuring that part orders are correct and complete at the time of order

• Services and maintains equipment sold and/or owned by the company

• Tests, measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and components

• Diagnoses and troubleshoots machine and engine malfunctions and failures

• Analyzes customer repair and maintenance requirements

• Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems

• Uses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirements

• Maintains a clean and organized work area

• Performs maintenance activities on new and rebuilt/repaired equipment

• Makes recommendations as to repairs meeting warranty criteria

• Makes parts replacement decisions assuring optimum economic reusability

• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Ability to read understand and comprehend sophisticated wiring diagrams

• Some professional mechanical experience is required. Preferably CAT experience

• Experience in a mine site setting working on 777 and 793 haul trucks is preferred.

• Ability to follow direct instruction as provided by Project Manager and/or leadman

• Stable work history with stellar attendance record.

• Ability to work with others with minimal distractions to teammates.
