Improving processes to drive student retention

The Student Retention Manager will be responsible for overseeing student retention within the Business School, analysing data, supporting students that are at risk, and developing initiatives to improve student retention.

What you’ll be doing

• Analysing retention data and reviewing this from a withdrawal, compliance, and financial perspective.
• Tracking the student journey and ensuring this is recorded accurately, including students going ‘off track’ from their expected study plan.
• Targeting specific student groups, such as dormant students, debt students and students on an interruption of studies, with the aim of supporting these students and helping them to complete their programme.
• Working with Award Leaders, the Academic Administration team and Personal Tutors to initiate and develop resit and re-submission projects.
• Overseeing the visa extension process from within the Business School, liaising with students to review their eligibility and create a study plan to allow students to complete their programme.
• Reviewing the main reasons students fall off track, working with key stakeholders and students on how to reduce this in the future.
