This will predominantly be with our special schools but will also include leading on relationship management and quality assurance of our Enhanced Learning Provisions (ELPs) within our mainstream schools and contributing to delivery of wider education objectives.
As well as contributing to the delivery of the LA’s statutory school improvement functions (including schools causing concern and quality assurance of provision), you will also use your creativity and commercial acumen to strengthen our traded service to schools ensuring that our offer meets local needs, is high quality and financially viable.
The role holder will be expected to work proactively within our team of specialist Education Advisers, and with wider LA colleagues, to ensure that the Council continues to work in collaboration with all education settings and other key partners to improve our children and young people’s education and wellbeing outcomes.
We particularly welcome applications from professionals with experience of working in a specialist SEN role, ideally with leadership experience, gained within an education setting, local authority school improvement role or similar.
