Dr. Dors, Dr. Traynor & Associates is looking to hire a full-time Optometric Assistant for our Thornbury location. This office is open Monday through Friday with no weekend hours. We are in search of a friendly and enthusiastic new team member who is passionate about helping others. We are a busy, well established, full-service eye care clinic that offers a full scope of optometric services to an ever growing population of patients.

Main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

– greeting patients and providing exceptional customer service

– general administrative duties

– screening tests prior to the patient seeing the doctor

– minor frame repairs and adjustments

Characteristics of the successful candidate:

– strong communicator

– self-motivated and organized with an ability to multi-task efficiently and accurately

– previous optical experience is an asset but not required as we are able to train someone with the right personality and work ethic
