Lecturer in Learning and Teaching for Higher Education
The Role
The purpose of this role is to lead the professional development activities for Goldsmiths Academic Staff in the area of learning and teaching. The primary element being the PGCert Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, but also the Academic practice award, HEA fellowships and short CPD courses. The role holder will also contribute to other learning and teaching related activities, including the TaLIC awards and policies.
The role holder will support TaLIC to ensure that Goldsmiths has an up to date programme of professional development in learning and teaching that meets the needs of staff and the institution. They will encourage a vibrant culture of innovation and practice in learning and teaching.

Main duties:
1. To provide leadership and management of the PGCert Learning and Teaching and Academic Practice Award (APA) programmes. Coordinate staff teaching and guest lecturing on the programmes.
2. To teach modules on the PGCert and APA programmes and assess students’ work.
3. To manage the HEA experiential route programme.
4. To contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Goldsmiths Learning Teaching Assessment Strategy and Comprehensive Curriculum Review.
5. To design and teach continuing professional development programmes in teaching and learning for Goldsmiths staff.
6. To manage the TaLIC awards programme in collaboration with other colleagues in TaLIC.
7. To assist the Academic Director of TaLIC and Pro Warden Academic in developing policies and strategies relating to learning and teaching.
8. To maintain an active practice of scholarship and/or research in Learning and Teaching in higher education, keeping up to date with the state of the art in the area.
9. To promote the sharing and dissemination of resources in relation to learning and teaching from within and outside the university, enhancing knowledge exchange and enabling Goldsmiths to learn from others in the sector.
