Production Manager / Engineer Full Time

Amorini NZ Limited is a supplier and manufacturer of high-quality joinery componentry including Benchtops and an extensive range of Ready to Assemble Cabinetry.

Our products are associated to the commercial and residential Joinery and Kitchen markets throughout New Zealand.

We are experiencing great growth with our online design, quoting and ordering tools which drive a busy manufacturing facility in our semi-automated production facility.

An opportunity exists for a high achieving, self-motivated and results driven individual to join the company at our Manawatu Based Facilities, as part of our Management Team.

The role includes but not limited to:

• Manage production facility including all production staff
• Achieve team performance targets through active coaching and team leadership
• Ensure all production requirements are coordinated to optimise the plant’s production capacity
• Manage maintenance schedules of all plant equipment, tools and other company assets
• Take responsibility for all 
  • Continuous improvement,
  • Productivity/efficiency
  • Process optimisation and flow improvement initiatives in the site.
• Management of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental issues.
• Assume the role as the 2IC for the site in the absence of the GM.

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Tertiary qualification in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Technology
• Ability to support stated business objectives, implement policies and procedures and actively champion change
• Highly motivated, professional with a positive outlook.
• Well-developed leadership skills with the ability to monitor and review performance
• Proven ability to work in a highly demanding environment dealing with conflicting priorities that requires initiative, flexibility, adaptability and high level analytical problem solving skills
• Sound leadership skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Working knowledge of Auto Cad
• Sound technical and operational knowledge of CNC technology / programming
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering (repairs and maintenance)
• Proven track record in managing Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental issues, 
• Accreditation with Ministry of Primary Industries
• Proven experience in leading a production team of minimum 10 employees 

Reporting to the GM and Board, as Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading your team towards achieving company goals around the growth and development of Amorini. This position has a pivotal role to play in Amorini competitiveness in the market, ensuring that, from a supply stand point, we are manufacturing the best product in the most efficient manner meeting the expectations of our customers
