FOUNDATION LEARNING GRADUATE ACADEMIC COACH – COVENTRY

A 16-19 College in Coventry are looking for a graduate of Foundation Learning to support their students as an academic learning coach for the remainder of the academic year.

Job title: Academic Coach

Location: Coventry

Salary: £331 – £375 weekly (term time only)

Job type: Full time role (Monday – Friday) for the full academic year

Starting date: ASAP!

For aspiring teachers, this is your chance to experience the classroom properly and build a solid foundation in preparation for teacher training.

Utilise what you have learnt during your degree to inspire and motivate A-Level and BTEC students on a one to one and small group basis and support their personal academic development.

This position is to start ASAP and interviews will be taking place over the coming weeks, so do not delay applying if you are interested in this position.

The successful graduate must:

• Hold a Foundation Learning degree with a 2:2 or above
• Be passionate about their specialist subject
• Be able to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential
• Have high expectations for students learning achievement and behaviour
• Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people
• Be creative, flexible, friendly self-motivated and approachable
• Be able to demonstrate good teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of individual students
• Be able to deliver well-structured support sessions to individuals and groups of students
• Demonstrate a commitment to Equality and Diversity issues
• Demonstrate a commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
